    Description


    Ashtavinayaka (अष्टविनायक) means "eight Ganeshas" in Sanskrit. Ganesh is the deity of unity, prosperity & learning which removes obstacles. Visiting the temples of Ashtavinayaka refers to a pilgrimage to the eight Ganesh temples in Maharashtra state of India that house eight distinct idols of Ganesha, in a pre-ascertained sequence. This trip covers the eight ancient holy temples of Ganesha which are situated around Pune. Each of these temples has its own individual legend and history, as distinct from each other as the murtis in each temple.

    DAY-1


    Start your journey from Nashik and proceed to the Ashtavinayak tour. First visit Lenyadri (Girijtmaj). After procced to Ozar take a Vighneshwer darshan. have lunch and proceed to Ranjangoan (Mahaganpati Darshan ). Overnight at hotel in Pune.


    Lenyadri- Girijatmaj temple is situated in a cave complex belonging to the buddhist origin. The Ganesh temple is situated in eight cave among the total eighteen. The cave is also called the Ganesh leni.


    Ozar-Home to shri vighaneshwer Vinayak, this temple has 20 feet tall main hall and ten feet tall inner hall.situated in small town ozar.


    Ranjangaon- the mahaganpati is known to the celebration of all other seven forms of Ganesh .




    DAY-2


    After breakfast proceed to Theur  (Chintamani Darshan ) , Siddhatek (Siddhivinayak Darshan) , Morgaon ( mayureshwer Darshan). Enroute visit Jejuri and Narayanpu . Overnight at hotel in pune.


    Theur- the entrance of this temple faces nothwards there is outer wooden hall that was known to be builde by peshwas.


    Siddhatek-with the trunk positioned toward the right, the idol of lord Ganesh Here with his two wives Riddhi and siddhi setting with him.


    Morgaon-with the temple structure built out of black stone, this temples contain four minrates which is significant fact as the name Mayureshwer suggest lord Ganesh had been featured Riding a peacock here.




    DAY-3


    In Morning after breakfast proceed to prati shirdi ( shirgoan), Mahad ( Varad Vinayak ),  Pali (Ballaleshwer). Return Back to Nashik.


    Mahad-This is one of the finest designed Temple among asthavinayak. varad Vinayak temple include four elephant idols and its main hall sized 8 feet by 8 feet. It is situated near Khopoli.


    Pali-the main temple shrine here is famous for the Mushak with the idol. Another speciality here is Besan Ladoo Served as a prasad instead Of Modak is most common.
